Rock County 24-Hour Release Status
No official Rock County or Nobles County feed lists people released within the last 24 hours. The Rock County Sheriff’s Office states that Rock County contracts with Nobles County for jail services. Rock County’s Law Enforcement Center handles local law-enforcement work, but it is not the county jail. A person who is not released before transport may be booked at the Nobles County Jail in Worthington.
Nobles publishes an official live inmate list. It shows who is reported in custody at the displayed update time. It does not contain a release tab, a past-booking archive, or a filter for people released today. That distinction controls the whole search. Absence from a current list does not supply an exit time, release authority, or destination.
Check Rock County Releases Today
The fastest same-day route starts with the current contract-jail source and moves outward only when the person is absent. Save the roster’s displayed update time. It marks what the page reported at that moment, not when a release took place. Search with care because a shared name or similar charge can lead to the wrong booking.
- Open the Nobles County live inmate listing. Match the name, booking date, charge, photograph, and arresting agency. “Rock County Sheriff’s Office” may connect the booking to a Rock arrest.
- If the person is absent, search Minnesota VINELink by full or partial name or by an offender or facility ID. Select the Nobles booking and read the event literally.
- Call Nobles County Jail at 507-295-5290 when the sources conflict or lack an exact time. Ask which public route confirms whether the booking ended by release or movement.
- Request the existing release or movement fields when a phone answer is not available. Include the name, booking date, arresting agency, court file, and date range.
- Review the Rock County court case when VINE reports bond or court-order release. Follow the receiving system when it reports a transfer.

A maintained jail record may contain the booking number, admission date and time, release date and time, release authority or type, destination or transfer agency, charges, arresting agency, and booking photograph. Ask for existing public data “if maintained and public.” The agency is not required to create a custom account of what happened.
Rock County Roster Evidence
The official Nobles roster illustrates why current custody and recent release are different questions.
The roster’s photographs, agency labels, booking dates, and update stamp can support identity matching. Yet the screen contains no release date, release time, reason, destination, bond-out time, or 24-hour archive. A saved screen is evidence of what the live page showed, not a substitute for the jail’s release record.
Presence is useful evidence that Nobles reported the person in custody at that refresh. Absence is weaker. When yesterday’s entry is gone today, the sound statement is that the person no longer appears on the current list. It is premature to say the person was released until VINE, the jail record, the court order, or a receiving custodian supports that conclusion.
Rock County Release Photos Online
The Nobles live list displays booking photographs and may identify Rock County Sheriff as the arresting agency. That visual link is useful while the current entry remains online. No official released-photo tab was found, however, and no verified sheriff mobile app provides a Rock County 24-hour release view. The photograph’s online life is therefore tied to the current roster entry, not to a promised post-release period.
Rock Sheriff advertises an app link, but the linked page was unavailable during research. An unavailable page does not prove what an app does or whether it still exists. Do not rely on an app for today’s release list. Once the live image is removed, request the public booking photograph from the agency that maintains it, subject to Minnesota law and any lawful limits.
Note: No official source promises that a Nobles booking photograph stays visible for any set time after the entry leaves the roster.
Read Rock County Release Events
Same-day speed makes labels easy to overread. VINE can report general release, court-order release, bond release, escape, record purged, transfer, death, work release or electronic monitoring, and system outage events. These do not all mean the person entered the community without custody or conditions.
- Bond release
- The person left physical jail while the criminal case and release conditions may continue.
- Court-order release
- A court supplied authority for the event. The order must be read to learn whether it involved dismissal, conditions, credit, or another ruling.
- Transfer
- The person left Nobles custody for another custodian. It is not a community release.
- Record purged
- This is a VINE system event, not proof that a court expunged the case.
- Discharge
- The identified sentence or system jurisdiction ended. Another case or custodian can still exist.
If the court committed the person to the commissioner, use the Minnesota DOC Locator. A secure-facility placement means state custody continues. A community or supervision status can show release from prison to supervised release, which is the community portion of a state sentence rather than final discharge.

Rock County Same-Day Data Lag
Minnesota’s official VINE fact sheet says connected county-jail feeds typically update every 15 or 30 minutes. That is not a release-processing deadline. Nobles must first enter the event, transmit it, and allow VINE to process the update. A transfer notice is delayed eight hours after discharge-record entry, while a death notice is delayed twelve hours. Temporary disagreement between the roster and VINE is possible.
Compare timestamps before deciding that one source is wrong. A court may order release while another hold still blocks the jail exit. The roster may remove an entry before VINE displays the event. A VINE transfer can precede the new custodian’s public intake record. In each case, call Nobles instead of refreshing the same page and guessing.
Request Rock County Release Records
A records request is the durable route once the current entry is gone. Direct jail admission, exit, movement, destination, and booking-photo data to Nobles County. Send arrest, citation, transport, warrant-execution, temporary-hold, and locally maintained property questions to Rock County Sheriff. Each agency owns a different part of the custody chain.
For the request, identify the person, date range, booking or court number if known, and Rock County Sheriff as the arresting agency. Ask for the release date and time, release type or authority, and destination or receiving agency, if those fields are maintained and public. If an exit code is supplied without meaning, ask whether a public code legend already exists.
